1. What you get

When you sign up, Built by Site designs, builds, and launches a custom website for your business:

• A custom-designed website of up to five pages (home, about, services, contact, and one more of your choosing)
• Mobile optimization — the site works beautifully on every phone
• Google Maps and basic search-engine setup so customers can find you
• Launch on your own domain (for example, yourbusiness.com)
• Ongoing hosting, security, backups, and monthly content updates while your plan is active

2. What it costs

• Setup fee: $299, paid once at signup before work begins
• Care plan: $100 per month, billed automatically, starting the day you sign up

The monthly plan keeps your site online, secure, backed up, and up to date — including small content changes (hours, prices, photos, seasonal notes) whenever you ask, up to a fair monthly amount of edits.

3. How we work

Within one business day of signup we'll ask for your photos, logo, and a few sentences about your business. We build from real material, not templates. You'll review the site before launch, and two rounds of revisions during the initial build are included. Sites typically launch within 7–14 days.

4. Cancellation

Cancel any time, for any reason, by email. Cancellation stops all future billing. Because hosting and the domain are provided as part of the plan, the site goes offline at the end of the current paid month unless you buy the site out (see §6). Your content — your text, photos, and logo — is always yours, and we'll hand it over on request at any time.

5. Who owns what

You own your content: your text, photos, logo, and customer data, always. Built by Site owns the infrastructure: the hosting account, the domain registration, and the site files while your plan is active. This is what keeps the monthly price low — the site stays live and maintained as long as you're a client, and you never deal with hosting, renewals, or technical details.

6. Buying out your site

Prefer to own everything outright? A one-time buyout of $1,999 transfers the site files, configuration, and domain registration to you, and ends the monthly plan. It's an option — never a requirement.

7. Refunds

If you change your mind within 7 days of paying the setup fee and before your build has begun, we refund the setup fee in full. Once the build is underway, the setup fee is not refundable — the design and build are the work you're paying for. Monthly plan payments already billed are not prorated.

8. The everyday stuff

• We aim to reply to every message within one business day
• Yearly domain renewal is included in your plan — you never receive a renewal bill from a registrar
• We won't use your business's name or site in our portfolio without asking you first
• Changes beyond the included edits — new pages, major redesigns, e-commerce — are quoted separately and always agreed in writing before any charge
• If we ever can't keep your site online (we move, we quit, life happens), we'll give you the files and 60 days' notice so nothing vanishes

9. Signing

Checking the agreement box at checkout and completing payment counts as your electronic signature and acceptance of these terms. Simple as that — no printer required.
